Catherine Sekhaulela – Unemployability Training

Employment hubs are a big part of our work with BPC. In Ikemeleng Informal Settlement in Rustenburg, David Shuping, and Kagiso Mafilika from Mogwase were able to mobilise youth from their areas to arrange for 16 youth to attend training at Gijima, whilst Kagiso reaches out to prisoners and teaches inmates IT and Life Skills in preparation for their return to society.

Catherine Sekhaulela from Kanaan Informal Settlement is now full time employed as a chef at the Gijima Training Centre. Through such success stories other donors have started to enquire about working alongside AmaVerkykers through the inspiration they have received from the success of our work with Bidvest Protea Coin.
